Of the recent list of Forbes “America’s 20 Most Miserable Cities” Kansas City Missouri is number 13.

Rob Low, a reporter for the local Fox affiliate, was at Olathe Northwest reporting on Joel Branstrom’s amazing half-court shot, when he made his own. Rob was delivering his report facing the opposite basket when, he threw his shot up…and it went in. Not blindfolded, but not looking.
So if you live local and haven’t heard about this yet maybe you watch the Today Show? The Olathe Northwest High School Basketball coach, Joel Branstrom, was supposed to be victim of a practical joke. However, he became victorious over his pranksters.
Branstrom was a participant in a school pep rally. The setup was that he would win Final Four NCAA Basketball tickets if he could make a half-court basketball shot blindfolded. Guess what…He made it! Jokes on you Jack! The assemblers of the prank asked the crowd to cheer for Branstrom no matter what, but there was a little confusion when he made it. Oh, and there were no tickets. It was assumed from the very beginning that he had no chance to make the basket. As Vegas could teach these kids, there is no such thing as a sure thing.
